Over 80 original pastels and limited edition prints for local artist Dave Roberts

We have recently completed the framing of over 80 original pastels and limited edition prints for local artist Dave Roberts. All are mounted and framed in oak and have been hand finished in black stain and wax.
We will be also have his paintings on display in the gallery.

Dave Roberts is a self-taught artist who specializes in pastel landscape paintings of Snowdonia and the rest of North Wales.

He was born in Aberystwyth and has had the privilege of living in some of the most beautiful parts of the UK. However, home is now with his family in an old farmhouse near Mold in Flintshire. Dave recently gave up a perfectly good ‘normal’ job as chief executive of a national charity to concentrate on becoming a full-time artist.

Dave’s work is the antithesis of how most people would imagine a pastel painting to be; they are bold and vivid with lots of detail. A distinctive use of deep contrasts gives them depth and their particular character. Customers appreciate the almost photographic quality of some pieces. Dramatic skies and water feature heavily and you will often find him up in the mountains at sunrise or sunset trying to capture the best light.
